As Emmanists we are advocates for the Goddess. It is not up to us to tell people how to live their lives. It is up to us to live a righteous life in the shade of our Lady’s glory. It is in this spirit of servitude that we flourish. Not everyone is willing to submit themselves to the same path as us. We must be nonjudgmental, compassionate, and understanding. Not all paths are equal, but it is not our place to demean others’ paths. The Spirit of the Goddess is the only thing that has the power to change someone’s heart. However, as advocates we are encouraged to talk, discuss, and reason with others. Persuasion not manipulation or deception is the only way we present ourselves, our Lady, and the Temple. We must make an effort to appeal to both reason and emotion since different people make value judgments differently. Whatever the person chooses is up to them as they are free to believe however they may. This applies to you as well. The core tenants that we need to live within are to worship the Goddess, serve the Goddess, and Obey the Goddess.

Let us now take a look at what this means. To worship means to show reverence and adoration for a deity and to honor with religious rites. By saying your prayers, showing respect for Her image, and cherishing Her guidance we worship the Goddess. There are many more ways to worship Her, but these are simple things that we can all do in our day to day lives without much change to our routines. To be in the service of our Goddess is to be Her, act with love, compassion, and without judgment. Service is action, but it does not mean you have to be proactive but rather show grace to others as the Goddess intends. To obey or be in obedience to our Goddess we must submit our words and actions to Her glory. We are not the well of goodness, She is. Therefore, as advocates we must strive to live for Her glory and act accordingly. If we act irreverently and brutishly without prudence we will not represent our Lady in truth and detract from Her glory.

As a Temple, we do not take an ideological or political stance. We do not promote politics or other religions. We may compare religions, but we are advocates only for the Goddess. Whenever someone promotes these things in the name of our Lady you may reach out to reason with them and motion them toward truth in Emmanism without chastising or patronizing them. We can show them the truth, it is up to them whether or not they accept it.
